Vehicle stability test equipment
A French constructor entrusted us to develop and manufacture new equipment to test the stability of its lorries, with the aim of simulating multiple load configurations while ensuring driver safety.
This is a brand new client for Novium who was looking for a supplier able to offer a safer and more ergonomic solution than the systems in use until now, and built to strict specifications.
We responded to these requirements with a stand-alone solution that included a hydraulic power plant capable of delivering the expected safety and comfort of use.
The system has four hydraulic legs for fitting it to the test vehicle and for lifting the entire test vehicle without the need for other handling equipment. This offers significant time-saving benefits for users.
Two adjustable anti-tip skids ensure driver safety during the tests.
A mobile counterweight system is used to test a number of load configurations, all within a compact space.
The tests quickly proved our choices correct, to our client’s satisfaction.
