Maintenance contract on catenary renewal trains
Novium has been supporting SNCF Réseau in maintenance procedures for its works machines for over 10 years. In 2013, Novium was awarded a tender to build 7 overhead line dismantling-installation drum cars for SNCF Réseau, along with a 10-year maintenance contract for infrastructure and work tools.
SNCF Réseau was looking to outsource maintenance for its 7 overhead line dismantling-installation drum cars for strategic reasons. A key issue at stake was the ability to fulfil performance indicators (availability rates, failure rate, mean work time).
Novium employed its full engineering know-how, in design office mode, to set out maintenance schedules and task lists. These programmes are monitored by means of a detailed dashboard that keeps track of machine performance.
In order to perfect its process and tie in its ECM operations more closely with its design and engineering skills, Novium set up a feedback committee in 2021 to build on the experiences it has gained.
